Arboretum by the runway
A pen and ink panorama of an arboretum. While the majority of the trees stand in rigid, upright formation, others are visibly shaped by the prevailing wind. This study examines how living things endure under pressure. It documents the tension between the stability of the collective and the visible toll taken on those exposed to the elements. The work explores the physical cost of survival, documenting how invisible forces, whether wind or systemic pressure, leave their mark on the physical form.

Trees
A pen and ink study of the eccentric, almost architectural silhouettes of an arboretum, now a quiet remnant of a changed landscape. While the nearby runway remains unseen, its presence frames the existence of these trees, a collection of unusual and exotic species standing their ground.

Major Oak Sherwood Forest
In this pen and ink drawing, a weary tree leans heavily on supporting posts, embodying a sense of physical and emotional depletion. The image hopes to act as a quiet commentary on health inequalities: just as the environment dictates the tree's ability to thrive, our own societal structures determine who receives support and who is left to collapse. It is intended as a portrait of endurance to convey the feeling of being "propped up".
